VCF Foundation receives Silver Medal for Prison Social Merit

The VCF Foundation has received the Silver Medal for Prison Social Merit from the General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions of Spain's Interior Ministry.
The award was presented at the Antoni Asunción prison (Picassent), where the VCF Foundation has been carrying out work since 2017 as part of the Escoles Cor Blanquinegre project. Their activity includes both male and female inmates.
Valencia CF ambassador Ricardo Arias collected the award on behalf of the club, accompanied by Antonio Salvador, coordinator of Escoles Cor Blanquinegre. The Silver Medal was presented by the director of the centre, Jesús Sánchez-Gadeo Martí.
In addition to the specific sporting activities, including coaching by club staff, the VCF Foundation undertakes a wide range of actions that include talks on football and values, on the empowerment of women and on the prevention of breast cancer, among other themes.
The VCF Foundation and the II.PP General Secretariat have signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation and continuity of the activity in the 5 prisons in the Valencia region.
